I know everyone is just going silly over the new J. Crew catalog, but I honestly prefer the LOFT.
It’s budget-friendly and their sizes run in my favor, unlike the Crew which usually doesn’t go over a size 12. And LOFT really embraces a tailored look for off-the-rack, and in my humble opinion, a truly feminine flair.
When I got an email this morning with a preview to their new Fall looks, I just had to share a few that really caught my eye. Flowers! Cardis! Stripes! Get them all here.

Happy weekend! I’m thinking maybe the beach since they are predicting it to get up to 91 degrees on Sunday. I hear it’s even lovely in Texas, so a win/win.

I purchased this necklace by BROOKLYN Rehab after seeing it posted on style/SWOON today. I’m in love!

The funny part is, after sending out a tweet this afternoon, a fellow Twitter friend fell in love too, and ordered away. Alyssa at the Rehab sent me a message back and it looks like she sold seven today. Oh, the mysteries of social networking …

Love this little ‘I Heart Texas‘ necklace.

My only problem is that the heart isn’t resting on Dallas. Clearly that was just an accident, right?

Shut up! How could I have just discovered these super prech vintage broach bouquets by Fantasy Floral Design?

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Seriously, aren’t these just the sweetest? I’d be lying if I wasn’t dying to see one in all different shades of white and creamy goodness. Not that I don’t love me a good execution of the color teal.
Forget the wedding! I’d rock one of these on a weekend for no reason at all!

Much like Liz Lemon’s wardrobe, I regularly rock a cardigan, oh say … about 90 percent off the time. Seriously, it’s ridiculous how many colors, shapes and lengths I have piled about, within my tiny closet. They are no doubt my go-to staple item.
So stop me from salivating over here already! Old Navy, I’m crushing on your mammoth supply of cardigans right now.
Oh, the ruffles! The flowers! The unabashed femininity!

And for only $26.50 a pop?! I want to go to there.

So yeah, it’s a tad chilly here … more like the coldest I can remember in years actually. It’s predicted to only get up to 28 degrees today here in Big D.
28!!! That’s mighty cold in my humble opinion.

So I’m wearing these quirky Danexx boots I scored thifting last weekend. They are not only lined with a fun plaid flannel, but the leather is like butter.
For realz, I’m totally smitten with them. Sadly, I don’t think the brand is in business anymore. But if you’d like fetch your own pair, I found tons for bid on eBay.

The good news: I fell in love immediately with this necklace when I came across it on Etsy’s homepage. It is quite possibly the most stunning thing I’ve seen on here.

The bad news: I left the tab open, went to actually purchase it, but less than 15 minutes later, it was gone!
However, I’m really digging this one and might or might not be in the process of commissioning another one like it, but in teal. ;)
Check out Tijusai’s shop if you dare. But I warn you: she’ll make you bust out the debit card!

If you know me in real life (what’s that?), you probably here me complain about the summer months in Texas. I truly am happiest in the fall and winter, as heat and humidity make me a grumpy bunny. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never particularly cared for laying around at night, sweating to the hum of my ceiling fan.
So what’s is so great about summer? These shoes by BC Footwear!

Well all summer shoes, actually. I could live year round in flip flops and sandals if it were at all possible. I hate, hate, hate to wear tennies or anything that requires a sock. I guess that’s the Texan in me, even if it’s a little hidden sometimes.
I just put these little guys in my mental wish list of things to grab this weekend. I’m going “bridesmaid shoe shopping” (it deserves the quotes!) for the wedding I’m attending in a couple of weeks. I highly recommend doing some browsing at DSW if you are on the hunt, especially the one located in North Dallas. Great customer service and an even better selection to boot … literally!
PS: Just in case you were worried … no, these are not for the wedding. I’m still scratching my head to find something comfortable to stand in for hours and hours.

As soon as I walked into work the other day, everyone mentioned how my outfit was so very Carrie Bradshaw. Mind you, I wasn’t in a single couture item, not even in a true heel or anything really Carrie. But I was wearing one very large flower brooch on my cardigan, so I guess that made me Carrie Bradshaw for the day.
Let’s be honest. I have an addiction to accessories. And my latest love is the brooch. So here are a few drool-worthy one’s I’m loving right now:

1. Calexandra 2. Be Gurple 3. The Brooch Boutique 4. A Alicia Accessories 5. Icing 101 6. Joesp
